# DotDigital

## The Wishlist integrated with Dotdigital

The Wishlist captures rich first-party data to drive hyper-personalised customer engagement—online and in-store.

Our Shopify app makes it easy to deploy wishlist functionality across product pages, collection pages, carts, and customer accounts—turning browsing intent into valuable insights.

For other commerce platforms, our REST APIs and JS libraries offer the flexibility to deliver the same powerful wishlist experiences.

Integrated with **Dotdigital**, you can trigger high-performing, behaviour-based email and SMS campaigns—including wishlist reminders, low stock alerts, back in stock, price drops, “notify me,” and “register interest.”

Using The Wishlist Dotdigital Product Blocks within Dotdigital, wishlist content can be dynamically embedded into triggered templates and automated journeys, enabling personalised, real-time messaging at scale with no custom development required.

Wherever you sell, The Wishlist helps you capture intent, personalise engagement, and convert more customers.

### Subscription lists

If required, in addition to syncing customer subscriptions with your ecommerce platform, The Wishlist allows you to define a DotDigital subscription list. Before sending a notification, The Wihslist will check your subscription list to validate the recipient of the notification is listed. If they are not part of the subscription list, the notification will not proceed. This feature is useful for those users who cannot guarantee that their ecommerce platform has an up-to-date subscription status. Please contact us if you wish to use a subscription list.

### Prerequisites

1. The Wishlist must be installed and the set-up completed on your website
2. Dotdigital must be connected to your website and the set-up completed, including data synchronisation between your website and Dotdogital.
3. **You must contact us to provide you with the appblocks, and to set up your DotDigital Account Insight data. Please reach out to <support@thewishlist.io> before proceeding with your implementation**.

1. *Click* on **Campaigns** on the menu and then *click* **Email**

Either edit an existing campaign or create a new one from scratch (as you usually would in Dotdigital). Below is an example of creating a new campaign. 2. *Click* **NEW CAMPAIGN**\
3\. Select any of the three options below\
\
4\. Select the template you would like to use or create one from scratch, enter a **Campaign name** and *click* **CONTINUE**\
\
5\. Enter a **Subject line** and a **Friendly from name**, and *click* the **CAMPAIGN SETTINGS** button\
\
6\. Change the campaign type to **TRIGGERED** and *click* **APPLY**\
7\. “Click” **SAVE & CONTINUE**\
8\. In the web browser address bar, there will be a six-digit numeric code for each email template that you create. This is the template ID, and you need to take note of this code and the specific templates you are creating. You will need to enter this code (template ID) into each of the corresponding notification types in The Wishlist Company admin so that The Wishlist knows which template to trigger in Dotdigital for each respective notification.\
\
9\. In the **Dotdigital** settings in **The Wishlist Store Console**, you will need to enable each notification type you would like to send and enter the corresponding Dotdigital template ID.\
10\. Under the **Dotdigital Building Blocks** menu, on the bottom left, you will see **The Wishlist Product Blocks**. *Click* to expand the menu\
11\. In this section, select the preferred layout and *click and drag* it onto the template in your preferred location. In this example, we have dragged the **Image left** Wishlist Product Block onto the template\
12\. Once you have dragged the **The Wishlist Product Block** that you would like to use into to your template, you will see the configuration pop-up. From this pop-up you can choose settings such as the maximum number of products that will display in the template, and what product information you would like to display in each template, such as product title, brand, current price & original price, stock level and so on. You can specify the font type, size and colour. You can also control the settings around the product image size.

**Please note that you must first delete the default value to see all available options in order to change the default settings for each field.** You can scroll down to see all of the options, and be sure to save any changes you make by *clicking* **Apply.**\
\
13\. *Click* **APPLY** to save your settings, then save your template, and you will be all set.
